You can change the logon background using a reg hack here: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/microsoft/change-the-windows-7-logon-background/

Or just use an app to do it. I've never used tweakslogon.exe however I have used this free app - http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-Logon-Background-Changer/3000-2072_4-11112208.html

Either will do the trick.

Good luck!

Don't screw with the registry hack - just use the free tool.

I tried looking in HKEY_CURRENT_USERSSoftwareMicrosoftWindows LivePhoto for a registry hey to delete but there was nothing there.
I alsdo deleted the file named Pictures.pd6 at C:Users[username]AppDataLocalMicrosoft Windows Photo Gallery but the tag suggestions are still there.
I heard there was a navtree file that you can delete but my computer does not have this file.

I recently had the dreaded Windows Security Virus and it crashed my hard drive - apparently my drive was getting old and breaking down anyways so I got a new hard drive and had someone install Windows 7 from XP and move everything over.

However - all that's there under "Old Files" are links to Web sites I frequented - NONE of my old files, pictures or E-mails can be found. Or at least I can't find them...
Is there hope? Is there some secret place Windows 7 is hiding these files???
      Thanks!

My computer crashed and I tried to do a clean install of Windows 7. But, my ID number does not work so now I could not register because I was using a Windows 7 Upgrade disk. I tried using an upgrade process mentioned in one article, but that did not work. Do you have a workaround? Or will I have to install Windows XP?

Ive recentely bought a Nikon 9100. Its a great camera and Im glad I bought it, instead of the Canon 220.
But Ive got a problem. When I want to view the pictures on my camera they all show up the way I took them, in landscape or portret. And I can turn them on my camera. I hate turning the camera each time, so I turn the picture. But it seems that turning the picture doesnt have any effect on the picture itself. Because when I export the pictures to my laptop (with cable or sd) the pictures show up the way I took them. So I have to turn them again.
Is there an easy way to get this done?
