How do I send files through email?

I'm trying to send my family back home pictures. My nephew said I should just attach them to emails? How do you do this?

When composing emails, there is usually an option to attach files along with the email you're sending. A lot of times there will be an icon that looks like a paper-clip or it says 'Add an Attachment.' Click the icon and a dialog box should pop up where you can select the files you want to attach. Select them and click "Open" and you should be set.

Here is a Gmail example:

If your using Outlook - just drag and drop the file onto the email.

Or (if you have a gmail account) upload the photo's to PicasaWeb and share the link with your family.
