1. I am using Outlook 2003.I have huge numbers of .pst files . I want to manage Outlook by dividing PST files by Folder. But i don't want to compact files. -Jhon
2. Question from Reader - Email Form Hi Tom, Ouch. I know how it feels losing a days worth of work. The worst part is when you have to recreate what you've already done. To answer your question, when you found the Entry "OutlookSecureTempFolder" what was the path in the DATA column? I assume you reviewed this post here to find it. It looks like you found the registry key entry so your more than 1/2 way there. Find that key again and you should have the path to your OLK folder and your Excel should be sitting there. Now the path might be a bit confusing because with Outlook 2007, there actually is "NOT" an OLK folder. For instance, on my XP/Outlook 2007 install, my OLK folder or "Temp Outlook Folder" / "OutlookSecureTempFolder" is: "c:\Documents and Settings\mrgroove\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\4V32TZLP" So if you look on your box you will find what your looking for in the "Content.Outlook" folder. Take a look there and your golden. Let me know how this works for you!
3. I have tried other Forums and no one seems to have a fix for this, but I just keep on trying. I am having an issue with the “Junk” filter in Microsoft Office Outlook 2010. I am unable to stop some email from being filtered and moved to the “Junk” filter. My mail is filtered prior to my getting it, so I WANT IT COMPLETELY OFF! I went to the Junk drop down on the Home menu bar and selected Junk E-mail Options. I click on the lowest setting being . . . No Automatic Filtering. Mail from blocked senders is still moved to the Junk E-mail Folder. And I have no one listed in the Block Senders list, so that should mean, nothing is filtered. But, a small portion of my e-mail still ends up there. Ahhh – I and can’t stop it.
4. A feature I use all the time in Microsoft Outlook 2013 (Office 2013) is the ability to open a calendar invite during a meeting and click - Meeting Notes. See screenshot from Outlook 2013. After installing Office 2016, when I open up outlook I no longer have that option in the calendar. It's just missing. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? Hopefully this is just an issue with the Preview and it will get fixed later during full release.

14. When installing an update for Firefox, I inadvertently set Firefox as the default browser. Now, when I try to click a link, I get this error message "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions set on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." I tried to change this four ways. First, by going into Internet Options, Programs, and selecting Internet Explorer as the default. The "Make Default" box is gray and cannot be clicked on. The second way I tried was through the "Select Default Programs". I made Internet Explorer my default program. I was still getting the error message in Outlook when I click on any link in an email. The third way I tried was to uninstall Firefox. I was still getting the error message when I clicked on a link in email. So, the fourth way I tried was to reinstall Firefox and indicating NOT to make Firefox the default. I'm still getting the same error message. If everything I try is not working, this looks like a proprietary attempt by Microsoft to prevent users from using other browsers. How can I correct this problem in Outlook and have it either go to Firefox OR Internet Explorer. I should have control over that, not Mircrosoft. Please advise.
15. Is there a way with Outlook 2010 to create a Custom Quick Step Action with multiple actions? I want to use it to “Send to OneNote” emails and other items such as notes and journal entries but also, I need to create a custom flag that indicates I had sent the item to OneNote so that I don't do it again and recreate duplicate items in OneNote. In earlier versions of Outlook such as 2003,I used to be able to customize flags but I can’t figure it out in 2010.
16. Is there a way to create a reminder that notifies you about a missing attachment in outgoing mail for Outlook? For instance, if you forgot the attachment to your email but youve used the word "attach" in the body of the email...

19. Jeff writes: I have read a few of your articles about scheduling Outlook emails. I have a question about taking this a step further. In our office, we have Outlook 2010. Issue – some of the execs have now asked that the subordinates email them a daily plan. Every morning we email our calendars with “limited details” to our bosses. Many of us forget when we come straight into full voicemail boxes and back-to-back meetings. So I have been looking for a way to use a Rule or some other mechanism to do this each weekday automatically. I hope you get the idea by now, but… Each morning at a specified time, Outlook will email my daily calendar with limited details to a specified list. Of course, we all share calendars with each other. Some of the bosses will take the 2 clicks to check our calendars, but others want it sent as described above. Any ideas? -Jeff
20. I have windows 7 with outlook 2010 and I always backup my outlook files folder containing the Outlook data file. Is this all I need to restore my outlook if anything went wrong with my laptop. I have hundreds of emails in different folders that I have set up, hundreds of contacts. I have dozens of email rules, calendar appointments and tasks and quicksteps. Are these all stored in the outlook data file or do I need to back up other files as well. Should I be exporting the calendar and contacts separately or is it ok to just back up the data file. I just want to make sure that I am backing up all the right stuff.
21. I know I can send an email to my contact list without everyone seeing everyone else's email address by using the bcc function. I know there is a way to send one email to everyone in the contact list so that it looks like only that one person is getting the email. There email address alone would show in the to box. I don't know how to do this.
22. I am running outlook 2010 64 bit, but used to run a program called "Calls to Journal". This program would sync my cell phone calls right into my Outlook Journal, which was an outstanding feature. But unfortunately, the program was never updated to run on anything other than Outlook 2007 32 bit. I am using an Iphone now, but am at a loss as to how to sync my phone calls (incoming and outgoing) to Outlook. Any suggestions?
23. In Outlook 2010, Windows 7, I find that new email windows vanish before I can complete the email, and autocomplete addresses vanish before I can click on them. Similarly when hovering with mouse over the Outlook logo on my taskbar, the new email is there and will come up when right clicked and vanish instantly; left clicking on the icon keeps the email on top, especially if I maximize it, long enough to complete the message and send. Is this an Outlook instability or is there some selection I should make somewhere that says "Keep open email on top" or something like that? Thanks
