You cant add an attachment to merged messages.

The easiest workaround is to put the PDF file onto drop box, skydrive or a simmilar service and include a link to the file in the body of the merged document.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I'll use this as a last alternative but I am still looking for a way to simply attach the PDF file to the mass email.Thanks.Pettie

Couldn't find a way @pettie. I agree with @simon however, better to not send the same file to all the people anyway. Just use Dorpbox. Here's a simple tip which shows you how to do it with DB.
