Virtual Router could not be started in Win7

Recommended Posts

I think you may have idea what this Virtual Router does. In brief it is a software which creates an wireless network in system.

When I enter information in the window and press start routing it displays "Virtual Router could not be started". If you have solution please tell me or tell me any other tool which can be used instead of this.

Im using this tool for ""Create Wifi connection in Laptop to use internet in Xperia S""

It may be that your wireless adaptor isn’t supported by the software check with their website for a list of supported devices.

If you don’t know what wireless adaptor you have you can check in the following way:

Click on “Start” and in the search box type “device manager”

Click on the device manager icon (it should be at the top of the list)

Double click on “Network Adapters”

Your wireless adaptor will now be displayed in the list.

As an alternative you could also try using the free version of Connectify, there is a list of devices that definitely work with this software here

You can download Connectify here

Other than that you could get a wireless router, I have several that I have replaced over time so maybe someone you know might have a spare one to donate. If not they aren't very expensive (in the uk at least)

The good thing with a wireless router is that you don't need your computer turned on to connect your phone to the internet.
