Austin
Any word on the Office 2010 release date from microsoft? All I can find is "first half of 2010" which is still pretty vague.

alexmvp
Released today: http://www.labnol.org/software/try-offi ... ion/10955/ Just fill in this quick survey (this is to assess that you computer can run the Office Starter edition) and you might be invited for the pre-release test. The email says: All you need to do is use Office Starter 2010 Beta at home over the next few months, and let us know what you think. Office Starter 2010 includes Microsoft Word Starter 2010 and Microsoft Excel Starter 2010, which are great for basic tasks like writing letters, editing your resume, or creating a family budget. [*] The public beta of Office 2010 will start later this year though you can try Office Web Apps now itself. Steve Krause
I think it's just a list they will pull from once they start the program. I signed up as well but I don't expect to hear from them for a few weeks....
shockersh
The beta is out. Just saw it on the main groovypost page. Downloaded and running the latest outlook for a few days now. So far.... I'm not as excited as I was initially... Still trying to get excited over the new interface. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't pay for the upgrade at this point. I agree with you, the updates aren't worth the $$.. This is just 2007 with a facelift and google apps added in.
Vadim
I like the updates to Word and Excel however the new look of Outlook is confusing.
