Attachment reminders in Microsoft Outlook

There is a freeware Outlook add-on called “CodeTwo Outlook Attachment Reminder”.It works with Outlook 2007 and 2010.

It has a customisable phrase list that you can add to and edit which it uses to scan your mail when you click send. If any of the key words are present and no files are attached you are given a warning and the option to either "send anyway", "do not send" or "attach file".

It ignores the original message text when replying to emails so that it only scans your email, avoiding false positives.

You can choose to scan the message body, subject or both

Follow this link for full info and a video of how it works

Microsoft actually has a freeware tool you can download and install from the Microsoft Research Team. It's very groovy and we covered it here: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/microsoft/disable-reply-all-office-2010-outlook-exchange/

The Tool allows you to not only detect if you forgot to add an attachment but it also allows you to block people from reply all on the email you send.

Very cool. It's a long article so be sure to read the entire thing.

Thank you. However, the next problem I am running into is that my signature card at word is an attachment so there is always one attachment that goes out in every email.

Steve, do you know a way to use the Microsoft Add-in for missing attachments even though I automatically have one attachment?
