This question comes up quite a bit so I'll look into and write an official groovy article 8) .

In the meantime...

Here's a few to check out that I have heard rumors work.

I have been looking for an Alternative lately and spotted one for free and i do not remember the name...anyway if you want only transfer and syncing I suggest you try My Phone Explorer....haven't tried it with Iphone yet....hope it works...and itunes as well as the latest OS updates are full of many frustrating bugs....hope Apple comes up with a good pesticide in iOS 4.3

Well, if you are only looking for an application software that you can use to transfer and syncing songs into your iPhone I suggest you to download the new version of iTunes..

Or you could always try Spotify. The premium version will cost you 10 dollars per month, but its worth it in my eyes. I use it a lot. About 40 hours per month. And if you do it right, using offline list and syncing over wifi, it wont be a big FUP killer.

Spotify... Not available in the USA yet.... :(

I hear it's pretty good tho from co-workers in London.

Oh darn, I forgot that.

Its sure is a great app. I love it. No more mp3's on my phone, just Spotify. And they just had a big update that made it even smoother, faster and better:

Today we have an update for our popular Android app available. Just head over to the Android Market or m.spotify.com with you phone and you can download the latest update.

Changes included in this update are:

* Ability to choose storage location on devices with more than one memory card.

* Changes to user interface.

* Reduced startup time.

* Improved battery life when using Spotify.

* Volume control now always controls media volume, even if music is not playing.

* Support for media buttons and audio focus APIs introduced in Froyo.

* Much improved music syncing over WiFi.

* Voice search now works properly when in Spotify.

* Scrobbling issues have been fixed.

* Bug causing missing cover art for local files has been fixed.

* Failing to sync with locked screen has been fixed.

* Music starting by itself after a phone call has been fixed.

* Many other stability and performance improvements.

Btw, I realy liked the "April Fool" that Spotify pulled 21 days ago :D
