Rufio Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 My PC is having problems with drivers ever since reformatting Windows. I need to figure out which drivers go to it but I don't know the ID numbers that match up so I don't know which driver to install and Windows is being dumb and not pulling them automatically. Is there anyway to find the device info without opening up the box and trying to look at the physical components? Quote
Solution bob williams Posted July 17, 2013 Solution Report Posted July 17, 2013 Open Device Manager Unknown devices will have a yellow question mark select the unknown device and right click on it to bring up the properties box-Click on the Details tab and select Device Instance ID from the drop down box. You will now see something like this PCIVEN_1234&DEV1234_7676&SUBSYS_0897........ The VEN and DEV numbers are the Vendor and Device IDs Quote
