  1. Here's a link to help you fix the problem. Hopefully you wont have to do a clean install..Good luck http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html
  2. Well if the service doesn't exist there's little we can do. At least you can use it. Cheers Bob PS: If Epsom Solutions are like Canons then you could download another model one and then use the choice of printer box to choose yours.See in my solutions box I am running two different printers. Just a thought
  3. Have you already done this-see extract from page. Section 2 is important to follow http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=115&prodSeriesId=3752454&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3752454&objectID=c02463264 This is an extract from the page relating to a windows 7 installation Method two: Download and install the software from the HP website HP Solution Center is part of the Full Feature software and driver package available for download on the HP website. Follow these steps to install the software. NOTE:HP suggests that you select the Recommended type of installation when prompted by the software installer. This ensures that HP Solution Center installs. If you choose a Custom type of installation, read the description of each software component carefully to avoid unintended loss of printer functionality. 1.Turn on the printer.2.Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer (if you already connected it). If the printer is connected to a network, leave it connected.3.Go to HP Drivers & Downloads . If prompted, type your printer model number, click Next , and then click Drivers .4.Make sure that your operating system is selected, and then click Next . 5.Scroll down the page, and then click Driver .6. Click Download , and then follow the on-screen instructions to save the software to your computer. 7.Open the folder where the software file saved (usually Downloads ), double-click the file, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  4. Below is an HP Site Link outlining how to install your printer. Try the instructions given and if you still have problems use the forum link which may help. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=46679&tmp_task=setupCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3752462
  5. Sounds to me as if you have a fake. There are a lot of them around and they sell cheap. The speeds you quote are ridiculously slow as Class 10 supports 10 MB/s as a minimum non-fragmented sequential write speed..I'd buy another card and if it had those speeds you quoted I'd return it.
  6. Why don't you save the image as a jpeg and send it as an attachment?
  7. Do you mean you reformatted the hard disk and reinstalled windows. If so it looks like you have lost the drivers and will have to re-install them. What to doRemove all devices with exclamation mark and any "Other devices" from Device Manager by highlighting them and pressing the delete key on the keyboard. Once they've all been removed reboot the computer and allow Windows to re-detect the devices. If after rebooting the computer the Device Manager remains the same Windows is not installing the devices because it lacks the proper driver support. You'll need to download the latest drivers for that device. The above is an extract from windows. 8. Try this first: 1.Take out the battery, 2.Remove main supply, 3.Hold power button down for 30 secs, 4.Put only power supply in, do not put battery in 5.Turn laptop on 6.Put the battery back in. If this doesn't work the try taking out the memory and refitting it. Make sure the power is off and the battery removed when you do this.
  9. I take it you have rebooted, unplugged the drive an all the simple things. Check in disk management to see if it's listed. If so make sure it has a drive letter. If not then give it one. I had this problem awhile ago. Windows 8 is a little quirky sometimes. If this doesn't work then come back on it.
  10. Open Device Manager Unknown devices will have a yellow question mark select the unknown device and right click on it to bring up the properties box-Click on the Details tab and select Device Instance ID from the drop down box. You will now see something like this PCIVEN_1234&DEV1234_7676&SUBSYS_0897........ The VEN and DEV numbers are the Vendor and Device IDs
  11. Here's a link to a good explanation and a free bit of software. I haven't tested the software so it's up to you to try it or not as the case may be. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/virtualbox-running-windows-on-a-mac-for-free-sort-of/
  12. This might help if you haven't already looked at it. It's really hard to find things on Canon sites. With the price of the items you would think you would get a better back up. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/page.action
  13. This link takes you to an explanation of how you can do this along with a link to some free software for doing the same.. Hope this helps you. http://www.howtogeek.com/98064/how-to-print-or-save-a-directory-listing-to-a-file/
