how to get rid of preloaded apps on galaxy 4s

I just got a Galaxy 4S and it comes preloaded with apps like the weather, S Memo, Calendar, Calculator, etc. I would like to get rid of them and use my favorites, like the weather channel,Cozi Calendar,Calculator PLUS, etc. I don't want to have two of some apps on my phone. Is there a way to uninstall them? Thanks.

Thanks Beyond Life, I read what to do and I am scared to do that. I was I hoping for something simple. I don't want to take the chance of deleting everything and messing up my new phone.
