Rufio Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I was at Bestbuy and shopping and a rep told me that on Mac I need more ram than on Windows. How does RAM work differently on Mac than it does on Windows? I'm not sure I get what is going on. Quote
Brian Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Actually nothing. RAM is universal these days. You just need to know the type that's in your system. Here's a couple of articles that will help you out that I wrote up: How To Find the Correct RAM for Your Computer -- http://www.groovypost.com/howto/find-correct-ram-memory-type-mac-pc/ Then here I did a walk through of replacing RAM in a Mac Mini -- http://www.groovypost.com/howto/upgrade-ram-mac-mini/ PS...Don't believe anything those blue shirts at Best Buy say, they are clueless.
