Steve
[Question from reader] Hi Steve, We were on Groupwise which was greatin that you could see if a recipienthas opened your e-mail (if theydecided to ignore your request for acouple days). Is it possible withoutasking for a read receipt in Outlookto see if an e-mail has been opened? Thanks, groovyReader
Steve
Hello Reader! There is not a way to do this with Outlook unfortunately from an "Outlook setting" standpoint. What you can do however is add some HTML to the email so that when the user opens the email the email client will go out and hit your web server (the html you placed in the email) and you can track it that way. Not as easy however a possibility. My recommendation would be to use a 3rd party service like AWEBER to send emails to customers. It includes some very nice email list options and the ability to send mass emails to customers with full analytics for tracking. I use AWEBER for my daily newsletter and it really works nicely.
