Steve Krause
Anyone notice the network outage Dreamhost had yesterday? groovyPost.com stayed up however all our images in the articles were DOA unless they were cached... http://twitter.com/groovyPost/status/6441731452 This is the 2nd time in the last 30 days they were off-air. This time however not only was all the hosted Dreamhost sites offline but the dreamhost.com was also offline. How did Dreamhost.com communicate the outage to it's customers? http://twitter.com/dhstatus/status/6442162874 And that's it.. Perhaps something like "were sorry" would have been nice... shockersh
I guess a squeaky wheel get's the grease! I sent Dreamhost a nasty email explaining I didn't appreciate the outage taking down my site. Here's the email from them: I do apologize for the downtime caused by the network outage. I went ahead and credited your account $10 which should also cover the previous network outages we had the last couple weeks as well. Not to shabby!
