Safe remove hardware notice

Whenever I am using my external hard drive or my USB stick or flash memory. Yada yada yada.. There is always a notification telling me its safe to remove hardware or not safe to remove hardware.

 

Well I always ignore it and unplug but it's just really annoying. It doesn't seem to damage my hardware any and so I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of the notification. Or if I'm wrong and brutally abusing my hardware doing this then please tell me!

You should be fine as long as you dont have any open documents etc... If your using it for ready something like readyboost, you could lose data if any cache or memory is resident on the stick. If you pull it out gracefully then it has time to clean up gracefully etc...

it won't hurt your computer or your stick, but like vadim said. There could be some data loss depending on what you use it for.

I did encountered same as this one. every time I stick myplug-in broadband in my pc whenever I wanted to safely remove it. It doesn't appear to do it? is there something wrong with it?
