How to add a scrolling styles box to new custom group in word 2010 ribbon

Recommended Posts

  1. Right click any tab on the ribbon and select “Customize the Ribbon”
  2. In the right hand pane, select the tab you want to add the command to (in your case the mailings tab)
  3. In the “Choose commands from” box, click the arrow and select “Main Tabs”
  4. In the left hand pane, click the + next to “Home” and select “Styles” then click Add alt text

You will now see in the right hand pane that the mailings tab has opened with the Styles group added to its commands

(Note adding a new custom group was not necessary because the styles group along with all its commands has been copied directly from the Home tab to the Mailings tab)

Click OK and the styles gallery box will be displayed on the mailings tab in the same way it is on the Home tab
