Guest dfey
Is there a way to customize a phrase or sentence for email replies in Outlook? My colleagues and I reply to many messages a day with the same couple of phrases and it would be nice to have a shortcut with a couple keystrokes to paste a specific message in a reply. The answer to your question is YES and it's actually SUPER simple to use. 1 - Reply to an email and write your standard response that you keep writing over and over again 2 - Highlight the Text you just wrote 3 - Click Insert Tab on Toolbar Ribbon then Click Quick Parts 4 - Click Save Selection to Quick Part Gallery 5 - Give the new Quick Part a name and assign it a category if you like All done. To test it, just delete the text you just wrote and Click Insert Tab, Click Quick Parts and select the message you just saved. It's pretty simple. Hope this helps! alexmvp
I think they used to call this AutoText however with Outlook 2007 they renamed it to Quick Parts. No idea why, I think AutoText is a better name. BTW - You can't edit or delete them in Outlook once you create them. You have to edit them in Word. Just an FYI.
