Outlook and Word 2010 used with Access 2003 Mail Merg

I'm trying to get my Xmas card envelopes out using a filtered Outlook 2010 contacts list as a data source. when I try to select Outlook 2010 contacts the mail merge stops with a error message

Error has occured :Mapi folder or address book not found

With straight Office 2003 this used to work great.

Does anyone know if there is a simple (cheap) solution or is it Access 2003 that needs to be upgraded.

That would be my guess yes. Outlook 2010 and Access 2003 probably isn't the best combo and Microsoft isn't known for their backward compatibility especially 3 rev's back. Do you at least have Access 2007? Perhaps you can export to excel and use it as your mail merge?
