Guest Animis
I have to agree with you, the built in ftp explorer sucks! I used to use WS_Ftp pro and it works well. Though it is kind of overkill for home use... So, Recently I switched to the open-source Filezilla and have been quite happy. So I'd say go with the freebie cause it works just as good for what your doing and you could probably use the extra $$ you'll save for other school "supplies." Guest levitra
Ok. Just downloaded a copy and it's running good. thanks for the tip! It's awesome that it's free. is it secure? I never know for sure if I should use open source software. I'm going to guess it's ok but I've never really ran open source. for now, very happy! Thanks Animis! Steve Krause
for now, very happy! Thanks Animis! Excellent! Very glad the recommendation worked out! FileZilla is my personal favorite and yes, it's secure to use. This is especially true being that your just using it to CONNECT and TRANSFER files. If you were using the SERVER version of FileZilla then I would have a few tips to further secure it however you should be good to go! Guest isonuZ
well in my personal experience, i have a slow connection.. i used FileZilla for quite some time.. was kinda unhappy with it cz it uploads the half of the file/picture... i now use CoreFTP it is awesome! rly fast!! (though kinda confusing) FileZilla is easy to use, but CoreFTP is effective.. so if u have a good conx, stick with FileZilla.. if not, switch to coreftp free version: http://www.coreftp.com/download/coreftplite.exe
Vadim
Filezilla has always been perfect for me over the years. What do u like about coreftp?
