shockersh
Hello, Could you give me the instructions for Windows XP? The msconfig boot tab is different from the Vista one.. Thanks Now I don't have an XP machine that's running a dual boot but... Unlike Vista or Windows 7, you need to edit your BOOT.INI file in order to blow away the Windows 7 boot info from login. From XP Click Start, Run (Or click Windows Key + R) Now Type in notepad c:\boot.ini Notepad will open up. Delete the line under [Operating Systems] that references your Windows 7 Install. Be sure however BEFORE you do this that your Windows XP install is your Default partition. Here is mine for example: [boot loader] timeout=15 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /PAE /NoExecute=OptIn Make sure DEFAULT= points to your XP install otherwise when you reboot you going to have issues since you just deleted the line for windows 7 and that's your default
