Simon H
To add a second POP3 email account to your current Outlook 2007 profile: On the Tools menu, click Account Settings. Click New. Select the “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” check box. Click Next. Select the “Internet E-mail” type of account. Enter the following information into the “Add New E-mail Account” dialogue box: Your Name as you want it to appear when others receive your e-mail. Your e-mail address. Make sure that POP3 is selected from the Account Type drop-down box. The full name of the Incoming mail server obtained from your POP3 account or ISP. The full name of your Outgoing mail server (SMTP) obtained from your POP3 account or ISP. Your user name. This is often your full email address. The e-mail account's password. Check the box for “Remember password” if you do not want to enter your password every time you check or send mail from this account. If you do not require the additional options below or have already set them up, click OK Make sure your computer is connected to the internet Click “Test account settings”. Outlook will test the outgoing and incoming connections, hopefully they will be successful but if not Outlook will highlight any errors so that you can correct them. When all the tests have successfully completed, click "Close" "Next" then "Finish" You will know see the new email account in the left hand pane with its own set of folders for inbox, outbox, sent and deleted items etc. Additional options For accounts that require outgoing server authentication. Before item 15 above Click “More Settings”. In the “Internet E-mail Settings” dialogue box, select the “Outgoing Server” tab. Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box. Check the box for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”. Where your account/ISP supports (SSL) encrypted connections Before item 15 above Click the “Advanced” tab. Check the box for “This server Requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” Under “Use the following type of encrypted connection:” you may need to change this to “TLS” using the drop down box. Let me know if you need any more help.
