johnarrow Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 problem i bought a toshiba 775 from ebay cause i buy them fix them and resale them its a new little business i started... any ways it has a locked bios looked everywhere on line it has no 500 jumper it has no recovery code when you type the wrong password three times most computers will give you a code not this one it just shuts down it has no printer port so hot plug wont work and the p2 and p3 jumpers don't work any ideas model # 775 s 5282 serial # 7B248714W thankyou johnarrow hawkfeather Gaeaskin entp. Steve Krause Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 Have you tried to Flash the BIOS? Perhaps a flash of the bios might be able to reset it. Also, have you tried calling Toshiba support explaining the issue? Quote

I don't know about Toshiba but somethings they have you build a Boot Disk from and flash the BIOS. This is where I would start and go down this path. Quote

johnarrow Posted September 1, 2015 Author Report Posted September 1, 2015 so heres the solution i figured out with all your help thankyou on this toshiba l775 etc locked bios theres 4 contacts called g2 and g3 remove ram put a stick back in the upper bay jump all 4 contacts at the same hold for three to 5 minutes johnarrow Quote
