Guest Joseph
Hi MrGroove, I've read several of your posts about clearing Firefox history: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/firefox ... vate-data/ internet-browsers/cannot-clear-cache-in-firefox-3-0-4-t95552.html So I have done my research. Can you please write up a step-by-step for me? I'm not exactly a TECH EXPERT so I could use the help. Thanks, Joe
Guest poneil
You have 2 options. You can either use Hide Unvisited Add-on for Firefox or perform the following steps to reconfigure the Navigation bar: Type: About:config in the Navigation Bar Click: I'll be careful I promise when the warning prompts you from Firefox Scroll down to: browser.urlbar.maxRichResults Double Click and Change Default from 12 to 0 Tadaa! From that point forward, your Firefox Nav bar should never again display URL history. Hope that helps ya. Perhaps MrGroove can turn this into a formal HOW-TO? Steve Krause
Those are my best suggestions as well. Just remember, all your doing with each of them is MASKING the URL's, not actually clearing them from the browser history. I'll continue to do research to get the exact details on actually clearing the data with Firefox 3.x

Guest nosretep
Those are my best suggestions as well. Just remember, all your doing with each of them is MASKING the URL's, not actually clearing them from the browser history. I'll continue to do research to get the exact details on actually clearing the data with Firefox 3.x I have found that if you have your cursor (url will appear selected) in the address bar, and press COMMAND+SHIFT+DELETE (Mac), you get the "Clear Recent History" modal popup. If you select the appropriate choices, and "everything", and "clear now", then your history will be clear. For some odd reason, this flow appears to work, the other flows to "Clear Recent History" do not appear to work.
