what is the difference betwenn ultimate and home verison

if I install ultimate win7, will the performance of my PC get more powerful, faster and smooth under the same component of hardware and configure? are there any data to demonstrate it ? I am a home users, but I like any other that want the PC more faster and smooth, like upgrade to 64bit to get more usable memory for running software.....

No, the performance wont be any different. Its just the extra options you get with Ultimate.

And that kinda sucks. Because im running win7 home 64. Without the ability to make backups to a remote location, like my DS-110j. And thats just what I want. Ultimate can do that. Home not.

Home Basic is cheaper than ultimate.There are other difference between other features are some backup tools,which can copy files from the laptop to other computers on the network.I use the Ultimate, but I am of the opinion that the version for home use or proficional Home Premium are the best choices.
