I just upgraded a Dell 1525 laptop from vista home to windows 7 home. then i expanded the backup partition to forty gigs. then tried to make a system image, got a blue screen, so i plugged in an external drive made the image that way, and its FIFTY GIGS?? is there ANY way to make that image smaller? or am i going to have to make the backup partition bigger?? thanks guys!! Beyond_Life Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 If making an image of your laptop requires that ammount of space, then you have to make room for that image. I dont know if you can shrink an image. Quote
