Weird program reseizing issue in win 7

Everytime when I make a window/program smaller it "dissapears" in the bar down the screen. But when I click one of the open programs it opens in a screen thats half the size of what it should be: fullscreen. So every time a program is opened, I have to maximize it manually. Kinda annoying. I have no idea where it came from, but its starting to annoy me bigtime. Someone any idea on this?
