They look good. Kind of a "medium range" upgrade. I just don't have a need for an iPad so I will pass on this. The other development of no headphone jack on the 10th generation is a bigger deal than you think. People who aren't tech enthusiasts or tech savvy may not appreciate it. They need to stick with the 9th gen if they still want a headphone jack.

You may be right on the headphone jack. I just don't know how many people still use wired headphones...if we know of such people and they do upgrade to the 10th gen, I think we need to be prepared to walk them through ordering a USB-C to 3.5mm stereo jack dongle :-)

Ya know, I have an iPad Air 10 inch (I think it's the 10 inch. It's about 2 years old) and I just love it. It's the perfect iPad. That plus the magic keyboard, it's like a mini laptop with ALMOST everything I need.

It's interesting they went with 11 inch moving forward. is that new? I always thought it was either 10 inch or 13 inch. The 13 was just massive. Way way too big for an iPad.

So now, I have

  1. Windows gaming Rig w/4080 GPU
  2. Macbook Air 2023
  3. iPad Air 10 inch 2022?

I love them in that order also... Hopefully I'm good for the next 5? years...

Using anything that either draws power from the iPad's battery or keeps Bluetooth active can have an impact, yes. So can keep background refresh enabled on all your apps, though. Since iPadOS doesn't offer a Battery Health section in Settings, you can try an app to check if your battery is below the 80% health threshold. I believe the free version of iMazing will let you check this. It's available for both Mac and Windows, and I strongly recommend it as a better way to keep your iPhone and iPad backed up, too.
