Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum, hope I will get my questions answered.

Here is the my issue:-

I have Server 2008 Standard 64 Bit as a Host and a Single Virtual Machine under Hyper-V running another Windows Server 2008 Standard.

I am using single network card setup as External in Hyper-V. I am not a network specialist but like to play with the different operating systems. I have two questions now:-

1) I can map the drive by using following command from the command line :-

net use s: \\sqlserver-dev\data /user:administrator sql%1234

but when using same command from logon.bat file and double click batch file, it does not map the drive and also no error displays. I also wanted to use switch like /savecred and /persistent:yes but it gives error.

2) I also found that windows server 2008 standard allows to run one virtual machine under hyper-v as a free machine. Do I need to activate windows in Hyper-V. Please advise the procedure.

Thanks

Lado
