ONLY "CHECKING MESSAGES" BOX COMES UP ON WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

Hi

Could somebody tell me what is work around to fix my problem: when executing Windows Live mail in Windows 7 premium 64b, only "checking messages" box comes up but no menu, no main screen of the program appear. I right click the icon on task bar & tried "COMPOSE new message" but no response neither..
