Each time I enter a word or phrase to find in the start menu bar, i see those words are searched on in C(Windows) drive, More often i will find for the files in the e drive(my personal drive), but unfortunately the search is confined to only C drive.

May i get any solution for this!

HI Buddy and welcome to groovyPost.

What you need to do is adjust the locations Windows 7 is pointed to index. To do this follow these steps:

1 - Click Start Menu and Type Index. Click Indexing Options when it appears under the search Results.

2 - Click Modify Button (On the Indexing Options Menu/Tool)

After clicking the Modify Button in option 2, Windows 7 will scan your system for all the drives connected. On my system it showed all my drives and external USB and eSata drives. Hopefully your E drive will appear.

3 - Click the box for your E drive

4 - Click OK

Now after letting the system run for a few hours it should index all the files on that drive and you should be golden!
