Microsoft Pro Photo Tools & Copyright

I just started using MS Pro Photo Tools yesterday (after my free download), and it looks like it is going to be very helpful in preparing my photos.

However, I am having trouble getting it to always allow me to set my copyright data. I created a personal copyright: "Copyright ©2011. Xxx Zzzzz., All rights reserved", and am trying to install it on all my photos.

I have a relatively new Dell laptop with an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor and Windows 7. My MS Pro Photo Tools is version 2.2.0912.03

For some photos (including original jpg's, and jpg/tiff dupes) it will allow me to set the copyright when I select it from the dropdown list (only this one item is in my list), and for some it will NOT allow me to set it, no matter how I try. Also, contrary to what I expected, when I select several photos at once, and it says it won't always allow me (but it will sometimes) to select my copyright and make them all have the same thing -- some it leaves blank. Also, sometimes the drop-down list shows with its right arrow and some times it doesn't.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug in the program?

I appreciate your help. The email address listed in PPT Help goes nowhere.
