I'm not sure why Windows Server 2008 won't install update KB967723. It's really wierd. Here's some screenshots I've tried updating, restarting, updating, manuallly downloading.. Steve Krause Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 Take a look at the Windows Update Log file: %windir%\winodwsupdate.log Do a search for the KB article that is failing and see if you get any specific info as to why it's failing. You can also try to download the Update and installing it manually. Just make sure you grab the right one for your OS and Platform (x86 vs. x64). Quote
Guest valeria Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 I suggest running System File Checker to troubleshoot this issue: 1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be prompted to type the password for an administrator account. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue. 3. At the command prompt, type Sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER. Quote
