Greta
Hi, for some reason my tried-and-true Sony digital recorder recorded some files in tmk format. Sony is of no help and none of the apps I've tried have worked. I need to open the file and/or convert it to something like mp3. Any suggestions?? Thank you

Sony's proprietary file format for its digital voice recorders is typically a DVF file. I've never heard of an audio file with a TMK extension; the only TMK files I've ever encountered were Turbo Pascal source code files. Pete
Hi, Greta-- I just found a .tmk file on my trusty Sony digital recorder too. It's 1kb in size. It's a mystery, but I notice it has the same time stamp as another file on the recorder, and I've confirmed that all of my recorded files are in fact present. So I assume this is just an extra that got thrown in there. Hope that's encouraging, and I hope it helps! -Pete
