Bluetooth Audio devices won't show in system audio nor play

After spending countless hours trying all YouTube video and internet suggestions to no avail, I'm stumped at why my bluetooth speaker and/or headphones show in bluetooth devices and are paired but don't show in System Audio choices. The ONLY way I've found to get them to work is to click down to the device properties > services tab and UN-CHECK Audio Sink > apply, then RE-CHECK Audio Sink > apply and OK, close all windows. Then, back in settings, dis-connect the bluetooth speaker (or headphone) and then re-connect it. Viola! Sound output switches to the device and I'm in business. The device also now shows up in system audio as a choice and is selected but only for that session. Next boot, start all over again. Very frustrating. Any ideas out there?
