Myst02
I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10. While updating all Microsoft software and HP drivers, etc. (& there were so many of them) my computer said it needed to restart. Not of of the updates had been downloaded/installed yet. Since this is not unusual in my computer experience, I chose to restart now instead of waiting until later. My computer screen has been saying "Restarting" with the little white dots going round & round for the past 2 hours. Should it be taking this long to install whatever it is to install and then restart??
Steve Krause
HI, Normally you don't want to interrupt your system when it's restarting however, anything more than 15-20 minutes normally means something is wrong. You should hard restart your PC by holding down the power button until the computer turns off. Restart the computer after and you should be fine.
