My Documents shows "User" instead of "Myname" while in my profile.

I am having the problem of “User” being the profile name (C:/Documents and Settings/User) when I am logged on in my profile “Nettie”. Nettie shows on welcome screen but has “User” settings. How do I correct this?WinXP Pro SP3.

In the user settings in control panel, does it say "User" or does it say "nettie?" Not sure if you can change this once it's set without creating a whole new user. It's been a long time since I've had to do that.
