Samsung is set to release the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. It's like the iPad - except better in every way.

How does the Samsung Galaxy Tab Vs. iPad?

It is a little smaller, but who cares when it can actually function!

looks like a big brother to the Samsung Galaxy S phone.

The phone might actually still have better hardware, but this thing is dominating in the screen size factor.

Though I have to agree, 1000 times better than the iPad. And WOW, HUGE battery. That thing will last all week!

looks pretty nice. I have to admit however, they have a up-hill battle. 3 million ipads sold monthly.... I also like the 8 1/2 X 11 size of the iPad.

Well see!

Im guessing Android is going to win this, or at least make a big gap in the Ipad sales. Im hearing more and more people that are switching to Android, coming from Ipod. And numbers say that at the end of 2010, beginning 2011 Android will be bigger (in selling devices) then Apple.

Yeah, Apple had a nice head start but they've already shot themselves in the foot. By being so closed and tyrannical about what SOFTWARE they allow you to run on Apple hardware (that you've paid for with good money!) they've created the "open" monster that is now Android.

My suggestion? If you have Apple stock, sell it, quickly.

The tab is only the first of many Android tablets to come. The screen size isn't an issue for me, but if it is.. Well Samsung isn't the only one making a tablet.

Archos is working on the new Archos 101, which has a 10.1 inch screen!

There is also the new LG Optimus tablet coming out that has a 10 inch screen.

There's more but I don't feel like tracking them down.

The android phones are growing at a pace that is just insane. With that in mind, it only makes sense the app market will burst. Anything in the apple store will be ported if it hasn't already.

All good stuff. Competition is what drives quality!!!

I totally agree, competition brings in quality and increases innovations. I think it is going to be beginning of a new era... we now have to see whether tablets or laptops win the battle also androids, window 7 and iOs contest is going to be very interesting for techno developers and users world wide.
