Online video needs captions

Recommended Posts

Hello everyoneI have downloaded a You tube video that is not mine and now I want to add captions to it. I'm doing it for a fun thing for my department meeting.

Anyone know the simplest and cheapest way for me to achieve this?

Thanks Dinah

By downloaded, I'm assuming you've used RealPlayer's download tool or something else to get an actual MP2 or AVI file.

Now you can use Windows Live Movie Maker. It's not the friendliest video editor. You can't see individual frames until you play them in the preview screen, but it works.

Second option is not free, but it's not too spendy. Buy a DAZZLE Video Capture device. Made by Avid/Pinnacle. They cost about $50 and can be found at BestBuy. You get their video editing Studio with it which is easy to use and works really well. Worth the money because now you can hook up your computer to your TV and make DVDs of anything you can see on the TV screen (yeah, all those movies you have on the DVR).

Have fun making movies!

I am using PowerPoint 2010 and wanted to insert a video to within the PowerPoint file, but it makes the whole file 333 MB or (349,755,736 bytes). I need to burn the whole PowerPoint with the video onto a CD for distribution to my clients.
So I am looking for an option whereby I could instead insert a link to the video, so that I could burn both to the same CD. This would require that whatever I inserted as a link to the video was directed to the location on the CD being burned.
Right now, under the “Insert” “Video” menu’s I have only two choices: “Video from File” or “Video from Web”. Any suggestions, anyone?

I recently bought a Kindle Fire Hd and when making Skype video calls i get a message that the person i am talking to will not be able to see me because the video is shut off. I have went down to the video icon and selected use front camera and a square will pop up where you would see yourself and the person i am talking to sees a message that the video is trying to connect. I downloaded another camera app and i can take pictures with my camera but it won't work in skype. i can see the other person but they can't see me and everytime i tell the video to connect a red line will appear across the video icon. any assistance would be very helpful. thank you.
