Change default view in Google Docs?

That's a really good question.... Hmm.... Looking at the UI in Google Docs, on the left you can click the "STAR" to show you only your STAR documents/spreadsheets. Is that good enough or do you want to see the Star Docs + the others?

Here's what it looks like:

Good or no?

Hey, I have been searching for the answer to this for awhile ( ok like 2days) and I finally figured it out. I tried the "Wait 5min" thing and it never worked for me. (I'm using chrome and the new look for google docs)

Here what I did:

go to home. Check the box at the top next to "Title" that selects everything. UNCHECK everything that you want to KEEP in your default view (i.e. everytime you open up google docs). This can be folders, files, whatever. Then at the top select "More", then select "Don't show in home".

Tada!

I just installed the Skype desktop application and it installed a Chrome extension without even asking me if it could. That really ticks me off.
Is there anyway to block unscrupulous programs from installing plugins/extensions into your browser?

Hi, I know I could probably google this answer but I'm lazy.
So, I've got a Google Chrome web page pinned to my task bar, and when you launch it, it clears out all the "junk." But then I zoomed out using CTRL mouse wheel and I can't figure out what is 100% zoom (i.e. default). Anyway to temporarily show the settings menu in a pinned Chrome app?

Wondering if you knew of any good alternative to Offisync for Google Apps (plugin for Microsoft Office)?
Since Offisync was bought up by Jive, it is no longer supported, and as we have occasional issues with Offisync, I feel it's time to move my team over to something else.
I have tried Google's Cloud Connect, but it requires you to have file on your PC as well.
I know... we are looking for the best of both worlds here
      Many Thanks
      Best

Lately, my pc is using a lot of resources and when i checked task manager, there were like 10-15 processes of chrome running. I checked and i had like 3-4 tabs opened. Why is this so?

I haven't ever had to use any type of Google forum. Just trying to access my chrome account on my laptop. When I open chrome to get on the web it is showing me someone else's bookmarks and info, but no one is signed in. If I try to sign in with my account info Google tells me, my account is already running on this computer...I can still get my email on my nexus
