I have a rar file that gives an error message that there are no files to extract. The file is several hundred megabytes large and I can see the files in the winrar application. Can I repair the rar?

Was curious if anyone here knew of some decent network monitoring software, preferably free? Recently I've been getting a lot of delays when we watch movies through Roku, which is abnormal. There are a lot of devices that get connected to the network, but not all at the same time (several apple devices, printers, a couple of pcs, roku, etc.) I just wanted to find the root of the hold ups on the network, if it's coming from devices, our router, ISP, etc. There has got to be software that does this, just wondering if anyone has some good recommendations. Thanks! -
I Installed ubuntu os (a variation of linux I think)to try and see if it was better than windows. Unfortunately there is not a lot of software and as it is new to me I find it confusing so now want to uninstall it . It does not show up in windows or a partition of my hdd but windows will not work if I disconnect the hdd its installed on (its not my windows hdd.) My computer boots to Ubuntu screen then I have to manually select windows loader. How do I remove it all?

How can one assess how effective an antivirus software is, if at all? Are there "test viruses" that one can use to evaluate the robustness of protection of your PC? Also, is there any evidence that some combination of software protection software is better than having just one alone?

I've just noticed that there is a 1.1.3 firmware update available for my 6D. But apparently the 1.1.2 update is needed to get it installed. My 6D is still at 1.0.9. And I cant find the 1.0.2. firmware anywhere. Canon is not answering after several requests. Who can provide me a legit download link? Is there even a downloadlink for the 1.1.2? I can't find it on the Canon site. -
I bought a Kindle Fire a few months ago while visiting my daughter in the California. I live in South Africa. There appears to be no Amazon Kindle support here.The Fire worked OK until a week ago. Now, if I try to execute any app, it pops up on the screen but immediately reverts to the Home page and the Home ikon can been seen flashing in the bottom right hand corner. Any ideas on what the problem could be and what can I do about it? -
Hello I am looking for a program similar to roboform and lastpass that stores the password but has an option to hide the password from certain people. For example I want to have a admin login and a client log in. So admin provide password and the client uses the password. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you all in advance.
