    Windows 10 on usb drive

@David Bailey: That's a good question. I wasn't able to put it on a USB drive either when I first downloaded it, but to get to it quickly I just burned a DVD. I will look into that situation as soon as I can and will get an article up on it or add it to our new Which I encourage all Windows 10 enthusiasts to join! Sigh...if only humans weren't required to sleep.
  8. Instead of shutting down your computer all the time, I would suggest putting it into Hibernate mode. It's a low-power state and will allow you to pick up right where you left off -- much faster that a complete reboot every day.

    Any suggestions for antivirus?

Definitely Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows XP through Windows 7. Windows 8 has Antivirus and malware security software built in by default. Mac can definitely get viruses and other types of malicious code. One program you might want to try is Avast for OS X -- And you might also want to check out this article: Five Ways to Keep Your Mac Secure:

Yup. Had a great time last night on episode #23 with Bogdan joining from Romania. Windows 8 Desktop

It sounds like you can just change the file associations. Here's an article on how to do it in Windows 8... In fact, this is very handy if you don't want your music, videos and photos opening in the Metro style apps and just on the desktop.
  17. Actually nothing. RAM is universal these days. You just need to know the type that's in your system. Here's a couple of articles that will help you out that I wrote up: How To Find the Correct RAM for Your Computer -- Then here I did a walk through of replacing RAM in a Mac Mini -- PS...Don't believe anything those blue shirts at Best Buy say, they are clueless.

    Disable Caps Lock Key

Don't be too afraid of the Registry. If you get a program to do it...that program changes Registry Settings. Austin Krause wrote up a great step by step article on how to modify the Registry to disable it... Another trick to deal with the Caps Lock key, is make it alert you if you accidentally hit it.
  21. I prefer the Xbox 360 because it integrates with a lot of Windows services and devices. And more cool features are coming to the console. So, not only is it a gaming machine, it's turning into a complete entertainment system for the living room.

    Laptop suggestion

I would check out Dell Hammad. Its Inpiron 15 or 17 R series is decent for the price. You can get an Intel Core i3 for around that price. It's a bit bulky, but depends what you want to do. If you want something light ... you're going to compromise on hardware...but you definitely want an Intel Core i3. Because its CPU supports SLAT -- which you need to run Hyper-V on Windows 8. You might want to wait though until you can get the Windows 8 Upgrade deal. If you can wait, I would spend a few hundred more and get an Ultrabook.

can iphone 4 sync to 2 or more computers

Yes you can. You just need to authorize each one. I would turn off automatic syncing if you do though, things can get messed up and confusing...especially on iTunes for Windows. You can also create two separate Apple IDs too ... but that gets things even more complicated.
  25. I wrote an article on how to do it with USB Flash Drive. This shows installing Windows 8, but you can use the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool to install any operating system you have an ISO image of. Remember too that you will need to change your system boot option to USB.
